On the main pedestrian street in the old town, the Gazi Husrev-Begova Mosque, built in 1531 is typical of the Ottoman style with numerous domes. The fountain for ablutions with a wooden roof shows the same verse of the Koran written in different calligraphic styles: «We made from water every living thing.» (The Prophets, Sura XXI, verse 30)
Sur la rue piétonne principale se trouve la mosquée Gazi Husrev-Begova, construite en 1531, typique du style ottoman avec ses nombreuses coupoles. La fontaine pour ablutions est couverte d' un auvent en bois sur lequel est inscrit un verset du Coran en plusieurs styles calligraphiques: ˝De l'eau, nous avons fait toutes les choses vivantes˝.
