If you would cut through the mountain on which the town of Jajce (Central Bosnia) is built you would find traces of all succesive civilizations which florished in Bosnia, prehistorical, roman, Christian kingdom of Bosnia, Ottoman Empire, Austrian-Hungarian Empire. It is also here that the idea of unifiying of the Slavs of the South - Yugoslavia is officially born.
The medival fortress is being renovated, the lake and waterfalls cleaned. It is a place of incredible beauty.
Si on réalisait une coupe à travers le piton sur lequel se trouve Jajce (Bosnie Centrale) on verrait les différentes strates de toutes les civilisations qui se sont succédées en Bosnie, de la préhistoire, aux romains, aux royaumes chrétiens, l'empire Ottoman et l'empire Austro-Hongrois. C'est aussi ici que l'idée de l'unification des slaves du Sud, la future Yougoslavie est officiellement née.
La forteresse médiévale est en rénovation. Le lac et les cascades ont été nettoyés. C´est un endroit d´une grande beauté.
