Marocco in Sarajevo - Le Maroc à Sarajevo
The restaurant ˝Maroko˝ in Europa Hotel had been opened for a full year before we heard about it. We tried and were impressed by the decor. Unfortunately the current shortage of couscous in Sarajevo left us hungry for a good Moroccan meal! Had some Tex-Mex instead. Another twilight zone experience.

Vintage finds - Chiner
Going through the stock of second-hand books at the stalls in Ciglane market, we found our fill of French authors and even an old history book about Switzerland from 1969!

The best ˝zeljanica˝ or spinach pie in the whole of Bosnia has to be the one of the small restaurant st the foot of the slopes of the ski-station in Bjelašnica. If anyone knows better please email us, we'll do all the research needed!

Gaffitti humour
Sarajevians are famous in the Balkans for their sense of humour. The grafitti on the walls are another expression of that.
1. Kapitalists are in the neighbourhood!
2. God, help!!!
3. Also the dead live for Željo (football club de Sarajevo)

Barice
After a surprise snow fall yesterday, the weather went back today to what it has been for more than two weeks, warm and sunny. We went up Barice, only 15 minutes drive up from Sarajevo. The view there is amazing and there are walks for all levels. We took the easy route for the kids but they ended up running around so much they've probably walked three times as much. The cafe up there is so typical with the grumpy waiter, the juniper juice and the loud folk music, it's a must!
